Hi Chris how are you, and what have you been working on?
Hi Graham I am great thank you, at the moment I am working on a new EP of 3/4 tracks and a new collaboration with Matter.
How much time do you spend in the studio and can you give us any studio tips?
Well that all depends on whether my son is off on school holidays or not!! haha, if he's at school I usually spend about 20 hours a week working on things. My Studio tip don't rush take your time, don't force things, if you have finished a track take a break from it for a week or so then come back with a fresh perspective you will find you hear things completely differently than before.
Since you started out in the industry the music and technology has continued to change, what has been your favourite period in the industry?
Little bit of both maybe in the beginning things were so new, fresh and innovative but now with the advancements in technology I think it is also a very exciting period.
Is there a piece of technology you love at the moment, or has changed the way you work in the studio?
These days my studio is pretty slimmed down I have mostly what I need in the computer!!! So I would say the advancements in computers have certainly changed the way I work and indeed made producing music much more accessible to more people.
You are organising the gig of your lifetime, what DJs are on the line up?
Tricky one this but here goes, spread over different rooms this would be my lineup;
Gilles Petterson, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Mr Scruff, Lee Burridge, Terry Francis, Jimmy Van M, Guy J, Ralph Lawson & Ame.
Digital or analog?
